Vinex L.L.C. started the production on 1974 of fasteners in the former Yugoslavia, in Viti, Kosovo. The factory operated successfully for close to 40 years. The factory was privatized on 2006 when it started to produce the fasteners and in addition invested in the new program of hot galvanization. The company now counts around 50 full-time employees. The company conducted analysis of the market trend and adapted to the market demands. The factory currently operates not in fully capacity because of the need of investments. The company currently works on the lines of: production of fasteners to the profile M16x150 mm, hot dip galvanization, metal constructions [with order] and steel barriers for road. The company currently operates only with orders made by the customers. The factory currently operates in a space of 20,000 m2 and has assets [machinery] in the value of 2.5 million Euros. The demand of fasteners is very high however, because of the lack of investment and the production line being not complete makes it difficult fulfilling the market demand. Not fair competition of cheap products offered from China made the market operation even harder. The company is seeking for a foreign co-investor and partner to expand the market in the Region and Europe as the name of Vinex has a great reputation in the market of fasteners. Market demand only for fasteners in the Region countries is 20 million per month which would allow Vinex being a serious competitor in this market.

Investment required in completing the production lines of screws and bolts and a new production line for the metal constructions are in the amount of 2 million Euros. The PSI Program financed by the Dutch Government is a gold opportunity for businesses such as Vinex and interested foreign companies to make profit. We are very interested in cooperating with an international partner as we want to utilize the capacities and the possibilities the factory has. Currently we have competition locally in Kosovo and cheap imported products however, the reputation and the capacity of Vinex is incomparable with the competition in the country or the region. In addition, during the former times of Yugoslavia, Vinex had sale market in Europe and Asia.

Vinex considering the experience in fasteners and metal construction business we consider that we would make a very serious business partner for the co-investor. We are interested to find an investor that plans to expend in the region, experienced and willing to face challenges in the Balkan region and Europe. We are interested to make mutual agreements or sell shares in the current business. The company is registered in Kosovo as Limited Liability Company. Currently the company is owned by two shareholders whom are interested in increasing the investments in the company. Vitia is a strategic city as it has connections with Macedonia, is close to Prizren for trade relation with Albania and is close to Gjilan for business relation with Serbia.
